Recipes Foolproof Crumble

  2. 225 grams whole meal or plain flour
  3. 115 grams butter
  4. 115 grams soft brown sugar
  5. 1 tsp ground ginger
  6. filling
  7. 1 large cooking apple ( or enough fruit to cover bottom of dish)
  8. 80 grams caster sugar
  9. 1/2 lemon: juice and zest
  10. 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  1. Make crumble rubbing butter and flour together until they resemble breadcrumbs. Mix in brown sugar and ginger.

  2. Cut apple (or rhubarb) plus place in three or four ramekins or an oven proof dish. Create sure bottom of dish covered simply by the fruit.

  3. Sprinkle fruit with juice and zeal of half a lemon (or fruit if preferred) and golden caster sugars and a touch of ground cinnamon if liked

  4. Spread previously prepared crumble upon top.

  5. Bake for 25 or 30 minutes in 190C until golden brown. Serve along with yogurt, custard, cream….
