Recipes Spicy Jambalaya

  1. 2 boneless skinless chicken breast, diced
  2. 2 andouille smoked sausage, diced or sliced thin
  3. 1 Green bell pepper, diced
  4. 1 large onion, diced
  5. 4 garlic cloves, minced
  6. 3 cup long grain, par boiled rice
  7. 1 tbsp tomato paste
  8. 1 can diced tomatoes (include liquid)
  9. 2 celery, sliced
  10. 3 cup chicken broth
  11. 3 dried bay leaves
  12. 1 lb peeled, deveined shrimp
  13. 1 tbsp butter
  14. Creole seasoning
  15. 2 tbsp onion powder
  16. 1 tbsp black pepper
  17. 2 tbsp garlic powder
  18. 2 tbsp dried oregano
  19. 2 tbsp dried basil
  20. 1 tbsp dried thyme
  21. 1 tbsp salt
  22. 1 tbsp cayenne pepper (more or less if you want)
  23. 5 tbsp paprika (more or less)
  1. Mix together the Creole seasoning throughout bowl (this is enough for formulas down the road, good for grilling etc)

  2. In Dutch oven, heat you tbs butter and brown/ cook hen then remove and set aside.

  3. Add sausage to pot together with stir for 2 min, then put onion, garlic, bell pepper, celery together with season with 1 tbs of Creole spice, tomato paste and cook to get 4 min.

  4. Stir throughout the rice, then pour in scripted tomatoes, chicken broth, chicken, and clean leaves. (Add a little more Creole seasoning if you feel deal with it desires more)

  5. Bring to simmer over medium-high heat then reduce to be able to medium-low, cover and let simmer 12-15 min.

  6. After 15 minutes, add the shrimp and cook a further 5-10 min until shrimp is pinkish.

  7. Remove from heat together with let sit 5 min, then work. Enjoy
