  1. 1 crushed egg
  2. .25 cup buttermilk
  3. 1/4 glass melted reducing
  4. 1 the best spinner’s light molasses
  5. 1 glass flour
  6. 1 tsp salt
  7. 1/2 tsp baking soda
  8. 2 tsp baking powder
  9. 1/2 cup yellow corn meal
  1. Combine egg, buttermilk, shortening, and molasses

  2. Add sifted dry components and corn meal

  3. Stir until just moistened

  4. Cook on an ungreased griddle

  5. Makes 12 pancakes if 1/4 gauge is utilized.
