Recipes Oat & cinnamon biscuits These types of biscuits are “completely delicious”. With simply eight ingredients, these biscuits are prepared in only over half an hour. Good for an afternoon snack! Oat & cinnamon biscuits


  • 150g (1 cup) plain flour, sifted
  • 90g (1 cup) instant oats
  • 160g (1 cup, lightly packed) brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon floor cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons boiling water
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soft drinks
  • 120g butter, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup


  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 180�C. Line 2 baking trays with non-stick baking paper.
  • Step 2 Place the flour, oats, sugar and cinnamon in large bowl and stir until well combined.

    Combine the water and bicarbonate of soda in a small bowl. Place the butter and maple viscous, thick treacle in a small saucepan over medium-high heat. Stir until butter melts. Stir in the bicarbonate of soft drinks combination. Add butter mixture and to the flour mixture. Stir until well combined.

  • Stage 4 Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of the combination into balls. Place, about 5cm apart, around the lined trays. Bake in oven for 12 minutes or until golden. Set aside around the trays with regard to 5 minutes to cool slightly before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
