Recipes Chicken Bhuna Masala

  1. 50 grams mushrooms
  2. half a green pepper (capsicum)
  3. 6 tablespoons vegetable oil
  4. 425 milliliters the base curry spices (see earlier recipe)
  5. 450 g chicken like the base recipe inside an earlier post
  6. 1 teaspoon salt
  7. 1/2 teaspoon Chilli powder – or even more as preferred
  8. 1 green Chilli carefully chopped
  9. 1/2 teaspoon crimson food colouring
  10. 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala (see recipe posted earlier)
  11. 1 teaspoon ground Cummin
  12. 1/2 teaspoon dried Fenugreek seeds
  13. 1 tablespoon finely cut Green Coriander
  1. Wash the mushrooms and green pepper and sliced thinly

  2. Heat the oil in a large deep frying pan and fry the 4 to 5 minutes on a medium heat

  3. Add the curry sauce, chicken, salt, chilies and food colouring

  4. Turn up the heat and bring to the boil and continue cooking for about 5 minutes stirring frequently

  5. Turn down the heat slightly and stir in the garam masala, ground Cummin and fenugreek and cook for a more 5 minutes stirring now and again

  6. With the spoon dipped in cold water spoon off any extra oil and sprinkle with green coriander
