Recipes Tomato & Tuna Somen

  1. 1 portion for 1 person somen noodles
  2. 1 tomato (peel and cut into chunks)
  3. 1 can tuna
  4. 1 eggplant (grill well until well browned and peel, cut into bite size pieces)
  5. 1 asparagus (grill well until well browned, cut into 3 cm length)
  6. 1 boiled egg (cut in half)
  7. 1~2 tbsp sesame oil
  8. 50 ml dashi (or mentsuyu)
  9. 1 tbsp soy sauce (if used mentsuyu, no soy sauce)
  10. 1 tsp sugar (if used mentsuyu, no sugar)
  11. 5 shiso leaves chopped) for topping
  12. salt and pepper

  1. Mix tomato, tuna, sesame oil, dashi(menstuyu, soy sauce, sugar), half of typically the shiso leaves in a bowl. Period with salt and pepper.

  2. Bring a large pot of normal water to a boil, add the somen noodles and cook according to typically the directions on the package. Drain typically the noodle make immediately under cold working water to halt cooking and rinse in ice water. Drain well and even put in a serving bowl.

  3. Pour the mixture from phase ① over the somen noodles. Organize the eggplant, asparagus, egg, and shiso leaves on it. Sprinkle pepper about top.
