Recipes Healthy Oatmeal

  1. 2 cup water
  2. 1/2 cup rolled oats (or old fashioned oats)
  3. 2 tbsp flax seed
  4. 1 tbsp chia seeds
  5. 1/4 cup raisins, dried cranberries, craisins, dried currants, or other dried fruit of choice such as cherries, blueberries, etc.
  6. 4 dried apricots
  7. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  8. 2 tbsp maple syrup (not extract) (optional)

Recipes Healthy Oatmeal

  1. In a small saucepan, combine water, oats, seeds, fruit and cinnamon.

  2. Stir to combine.

  3. Cook, covered, over very low heat for 20 minutes.

  4. Remove from the heat and let stand for 20 minutes.

  5. Stir in the maple syrup, if using.
