Recipes Tonkatsu (Deep-fried Pork Cutlet)

  1. 2 slices pork loin, about 400 g/1 lb
  2. 1 pinch salt
  3. 1 pinch spice up
  4. as needed Flour
  5. one egg, beaten
  6. as needed Panko bread crumbs
  7. Oil for deep frying

Recipes Tonkatsu (Deep-fried Pork Cutlet)

  1. Cut off stringy parts of pork.

  2. Sprinkle both sides of pork with a touch of salt and pepper. Rub it a little bit. Keep pork in refrigerator for 10 min.

  3. Preheat oil to 175C(350F). Dredge the pork in flour.

  4. Dip pork into the beaten egg.

  5. Dredge the pork in the bread crumbs.

  6. Deep-fry the pork in the oil preheated to 175C(350F). When the pork turns light brown, take out it from oil.

  7. Cut meat into bite-size pieces.
