  1. 3 egg whites
  2. 1/3 cup caster sugar
  3. 1 tsp vinegar

Recipes Ladybirds Maringues

  1. Pre heat oven to 110°C / 215°F.

  2. Lightly grease a big oven tray then line with baking paper and then lightly grease the baking paper and then dust the tray with cornflour, shaking off the excess flour. Set aside till needed.

  3. Place the egg whites into a clean dry bowl.

  4. Using electric mixers, beat the egg whites till soft peaks form.

  5. Gradually add the caster sugar, a little at a time (about a tablespoon full at a time) till mixture becomes smooth and glossy and that all sugar has been dissolved into the mixture. Then add the vinegar and mix will to combine.

  6. Either spoon the prepared mixture onto the prepared lined tray or pipe the mixture onto the prepared covered tray, the choice is yours.

  7. Place the tray of prepared Maringues into the preheated stove for at least 1 hour or until turned pale colour slightly and are firm and crisp. Now turn the oven off and leave the stove door open ajar slightly till they cool completely.

  8. Remove from the oven and serve at room temp. Great with regard to party snacks with cream and fruit and on their own kids love them. Serve and enjoy.: -).
