Recipes One Pot Beans and Rice

  1. seventy-five grams cubed pancetta
  2. 2 garlic oil cloves, minced
  3. 2 pot water
  4. a single bay leaf
  5. 500 grams tomato puree/passata
  6. 1 can beans, drained and washed
  7. 1/2 cup white rice, uncooked
  8. a single salt, pepper, paprika and cayenne pepper
  9. a single tsp sugar

Recipes One Pot Beans and Rice

  1. Fry the pancetta in a soup pot. Add garlic as soon as the pancetta starts browning

  2. When fragrant, deglaze the pot with water (the amount is listed above) and scrape all burnt bits. Add bay leaf and tomato puree

  3. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Then, add the beans and rice

  4. Stir frequently, taste and season. Add more water if needed. Rice will be done in about 15 min. Serve immediately
