  1. just one or 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  2. 4 tsp juice of lemons
  3. 1/8 tsp ground cumin
  4. 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon sodium
  5. 1 tbsp olive oil
  6. 1 nip cayenne pepper
  7. 1/4 cup rich and creamy peanut butter
  8. 1 could (10 1/2 ounces) chick peas

  1. Drain the chick peas and reserve the liquid.

  2. Mash them with a potato masher, or puree in a blender or food processor.

  3. Blend in the garlic, lemon juice, peanut butter, cumin, salt, oil, and cayenne pepper.

  4. Add enough of the reserved chick pea liquid to make a smooth, but not runny, paste.

  5. *You can serve this with pita bread cut up into small triangles. *

  6. **You can refrigerate this for 3 to 5 days. **
